TRANSCRIPT:

We are going to look at Echo, the large white head that looks out over the water. Find a space where you feel comfortable and you can see the sculpture, the water, and the beautiful mountains. You might choose to sit in the grass, by the walkway, or up at the top of the stairs.

Once you feel settled in - I want you to allow your gaze to focus on the echo sculpture. Find a single point on the sculpture that catches your eye. With your eye focused there, notice the mountains & the water on the outskirts of your vision. Continue this focus on your gaze as I share some thoughts with you.

When I first saw Echo, I wondered - who is this girl and what is she thinking about? Notice how she is facing the water and the mountains, but her eyes are closed. To me the sculpture looks like a young girl looking inward, introspecting and reflecting. I think she symbolizes the ability for us at any moment to go inward and reconnect with our childhood memories. The act of going inward is like a portal that transcends time. Let’s journey together :)

Go ahead and close your eyes. And as you do, take 3 deep breaths. Keep breathing slowly like this. I want you to think of a memory that brought you joy from your childhood. Maybe its a special place, a special person, a special memory. Let yourself be guided by your first intuition - there is no right or wrong here. Let even the smallest memory expand - it’s alright if you can’t remember everything; you can fill in the gaps with your imagination.

Like you did earlier, begin to gently notice everything around you in the scene. On the right, on the left. How does your heart feel in this memory? You can even place a hand on your heart as you let this feeling expand through your body. Continue to breathe slowly.

Now, send a gentle thank you to everyone and everything in this memory. Feel your heart grow as you do so. Maybe a smile comes across your face or a even a tear. Let it all come up.

Lets thank the little you alive in your heart for guiding you back to this memory, and the gratitude within. Remembering that gratitude always lives within us.

When you're ready, slowly shake out your hands, shake your feet, maybe move your shoulders, Go ahead and slowly open up your eyes. How do you feel? Come back to this meditation as many times as you like.

What does Echo mean to you now?
