TRANSCRIPT:

Hello, it's Umi! Welcome to the Wake Sculpture!!! Isn’t it so big? Notice the lines and textures in the sculpture - like movement frozen in time. The first thing I wanted to do when I saw this sculpture was move my body. Moving the body is a great way to come back into the moment - although it might feel awkward at first, I want to invite you to give it a try. Let’s return to our inner child, ease our judgements, and feel into our bodies!

Wherever you are, take a nice deep breath in - and breath it out. Now imagine you are a drop of water carving this valley in front of you. You come across the Wake Sculpture, a large object in front of you in a stream. Where do you go? How do you move around these objects as water? Maybe you want to walk around or stay put, maybe you want to move your arms. Maybe you want to dance or even spin. I want you to explore what feels good to your body. I’m going to let the music run for a little bit :) Imagine you are water, and have fun!

Allow your imagination in as you move just like water.

There is no right or wrong here - just you

Even if you feel a bit awkward at first, I want you to just let go, and just move.

You're doing great! We are almost at the end, let your body move.

And now go ahead and pause your movement. Take a deep breath in - and breath it out.

Let’s reflect - how did it feel to move among the sculptures? what kind of movement felt natural to you? Did you know movement can help reveal your intuition? I wonder what this movement says about your internal landscape?

For example - when I move I notice I enjoy slow walking and swaying my arms. It reminds me that perhaps right now I just need to slow down. I need to let myself flow with life rather than control with sharp decisions. It gives me an internal map for how to live with more ease in this moment.

What does your movement reveal about you?
