Introduction

Listen to verbal descriptions of the artworks for visitors who are blind or partially sighted (or anyone seeking an in-depth guided look at the objects).

Welcome to the Seattle Art Museum, and to Poke in the Eye: Art of the West Coast Counterculture.

This is an audio descriptive tour that will provide verbal descriptions of selected works in the exhibition. You can access the verbal descriptions by scanning the QR codes near the object.

Please also note that the exhibition features several hands-on experiences. Spaced throughout the galleries are six telephones, which you can pick up to hear interpretive audio content.

Additionally, there is a table with touchable ceramic samples: you’ll find it in the education space near the entrance of the exhibition.

We hope you enjoy the tour.
