Transcript: Polly Barton on Tamago Basada

Tamago Basada is an interesting piece because it’s very early. And then I also was doing this when we were living up in the Northern part of New Mexico up in Ojo Caliente. And I was new to New Mexico. So I look at that and I think, looking back at where I was coming from when I made it I realized that there were a lot of things that I was looking at in terms of the culture of the southwest, but I was kind of coming at it with living in the forest with chickens running around and you know I’m a city girl, I was born in New York, raised in New York so it was a real change. so I was absorbing all this stuff, and that’s what I see when I look back at that piece.
