Ice on Fire, oil on canvas, 36 x 36 in.

Phyllis Emmert

The beauty of wild animals captivates me, and painting Them helps to reassure me of their continued Existence. I am curious about each of their stories, The fragility in far too many, and the humor in others. Selling one of my creatures after many hours of work Isn’t always easy as they have become one of my Family. I always hope for a loving home.
