You Are My Sunshine, acrylic on panel, 48x48

Cathy Woo

My abstract paintings are a direct expression of my everyday lived experience using primarily color, shape, line, texture and pattern. The paintings are the concrete evidence of my attempts to make sense of my life as a human being who is embedded in this mysterious universe. The paintings are my attempt to communicate sensations and perceptions that are outside the realm of words and language. Most often, the natural world is my inspirational starting point.
