Morning Breeze, acrylic on canvas, 49 x 45 in.

Benton Peugh

Throughout my 40 years as a painter, I have attempted to connect with the world through the process of painting. I have concentrated on landscape imagery as a means of studying space, light and atmospheric issues. I am searching for a universally understood, symbolic landscape. Since air and light are predominate parts of our perceived world, I am trying to make these elements have a physical presence in the painting.
