Art Goes to School

Bring a teaching artist to your classroom to extend the learning! This Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough, Art Goes to School lesson will inspire students to look closely, ask questions and create their own portraits exploring their identities.


Educator Workshop

Come to SAM Downtown Saturday, March 2 to gain valuable ideas and skills to bring back to the classroom. This interactive, art-making educator workshop will focus on visual biographies and portraits. Participants will work with an experienced portrait artist to create their own work of art using a live model.

Workshop participants will receive free resources and teaching materials, entrance to the exhibition Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough, and four Washington State Clock Hours.
